2008
has been a wild ride for TESLA!
Since
we took over the steering wheel of this rock machine, we have
made several successful laps around the world and put out more
new products in one year than we did in the past ten. Now here
it is, set for November 7th, 2008, and we are presenting a new
album of all original material called FOREVER MORE.
We
started writing new songs for this album the first week of January,
while simultaneously planning a mid-West tour of America in February
and recording our COMIN' ATCHA LIVE! 2008 DVD while we were on
the road. Coming home in March, we hired Terry to jump back into
writing and recording music with us while we edited the DVD and
routed a summer tour of Europe. We're riding a wave of energy
that doesn't come easy for a band of rookies much less a band
whose been doing this for over 20 years - and we wouldn't have
it any other way.
You
see, I always compare TESLA to a giant train that once it gets
momentum, it generates enough force to plow around the world.
We are now back on our tracks at full speed headed straight for
your eardrums with a new album of all original material and what
we feel is filled with our most exciting songs. We brought Terry
over to the States to work with us all through April and May,
writing and crafting our ideas into powerful songs, and challenging
ourselves to keep our music fresh before heading to Europe in
June to play huge festivals with the likes of Judas Priest, Kiss,
Saxon and many other rock giants.
After
returning from Europe, we jumped right back into the studio to
work on FOREVER MORE with Terry while setting up a tour of American
festival shows in July and August, playing alongside bands such
as Matchbox Twenty, the Wallflowers, Queensrÿche, KISS and
Judas Priest. It's great that we can play with any band, of any
music genre, because we've never been pigeon-holed into a style
or label of music throughout our career.
FOREVER
MORE demonstrates this idea of writing songs in a diverse fashion.
The title track is one of our deeper cuts complete with heavy
lyrics, de-tuned riffs and acoustic interludes, while, "I
Wanna Live" is one of our more uplifting songs that bounces
musically and delivers a lyrical message that suggests living
life to the fullest. The rest of the album takes a similar ride
of dynamic ups and down with songs like "So What!,"
"Fallin' Apart," "Breakin' Free," "The
Game," "All Of Me" and "The First Time."
Like
our albums of the past, all the tracks on FOREVER MORE offer a
variety of emotions where each song has its own twist--not sounding
like another. FOREVER MORE was written and recorded during a period
of high energy and bizarre life circumstances for each of Tesla's
band members, with those experiences coming full circle throughout
the CD.
As
we finish up the sound mixes, we are already planning the tour
for October and European dates of festivals next summer. When
we perform on stage every night there are the loyal fans right
in the front row who have been there "forever more,"
always bringing with them smiling faces and new friends. Some
of them travel miles to see us and to them we are forever grateful,
as it seems their loyalty is never-ending. We welcome you to jump
on this wild ride with us and we hope to keep giving you good
times and music during this wild ride we call "life."
It is full of ups and downs, just like music, and we hope that
you enjoy our new album FOREVER MORE!
Sincerely,
Frank Hannon, TESLA.
