Post aus Rom - Inhalt: Die neue CD von Marco Taggiasco - This moment.
Der Frühling scheint es gut mit mir zu meinen. Schon die dritte Westcoast CD in meiner Mailbox.


Marios Debut Album "Thousand things" wird mittlerweile als Geheimtip gehandelt und so war ich gespannt auf das was mich erwartet. Nach dem Lesen der ersten Pressetexte war ich elektrisiert. Kein Geringerer als [David Pack] (Ambrosia, West Side Story, ...) übernimmt die Leadvocals des Titelsongs "This moment". Taggiascos Komposition fließt relaxed und groovend. David Packs Stimme glänzt von der ersten Note bis zum mehrstimmigen Refrain.
Als nächster Song findet ein zuvor verborgener Schatz seinen Weg in die Trackliste von "This moment". Nach 10-jähriger Abstinenz feiert Eric Tagg (Leadsänger von Lee Ritenour) sein Studiocomeback. Er steuert neben seinen Backingvocals auch zwei unveröffentlichten Tracks dem Album bei. "Radio Slience" aus dem Jahre 1984 - Taggiascos Pianoperlen, ein federnder Akustikbass und über allem schwebt Andrea Sanchinis Gesang.

Es ist April und ich bin mir sicher dass "April in my heart" zu den schönsten Balladen des Jahres zählen wird. Die Stimme von [Anne Marie Bush] verleiht dem Song Flügel, haucht im Seele ein. "I still remember when nights would never end, I'd see the sunrise reflected in your eyes. We would be dancing with the stars right till dawn. Each memory of you lingers on."


Marco Taggiascos geschmackvolle Keyboardarbeit, seine hervorragende Produktion und die Ansammlung feiner Talente verleihen "This moment" das Besondere.

Four years after the acclaimed debut album Thousand Things, the long anticipated new CD from Marco Taggiasco is about to be released. Recording sessions have been done in Rome, Copenhagen and L.A. The album is titled This Moment and counts two unreleased tracks written by Eric Tagg and a remake of Orleans' oldie You've Been Runnin'. Most of the tracks are performed again by Andrea Sanchini, which also contributes with two songs. Eric Tagg also features on the opening track, coming back in the studio after ten years of absence!
Among the special guests' names pops up the one of David Pack, delivering us an incredible performance on the title track. Acclaimed Danish/American singer-songwriter Anne Marie Bush features on the beautiful adult-contemporary ballad April In My Heart. Her new release is expected at the end of spring and will contain a song produced by Marco.
"I wanted the album to be representative of different sides of my work - Marco explains - and having such great talents performing on this record gave me the best chance to do it. They are the real stars in this project".
