Neilly & Friends: A Tribute to Stevie Wonder

showing his knack for bringing together fantastic international
talent to create beautiful music and this time he's chosen to
honor arguably one of the most influential musicians in the 20th
century with the transcendent music of Stevie Wonder. This fantastic
new compilation is scheduled to release in June '08.
On the heels of his award winning and Billboard charts top ten
contemporary jazz retail cd G-Fire II, Neilly simply put; he has
done it again. Vernon reached into his rolodex to assemble a roster
of established international artist and extremely talented newcomers
to produce a compilation nothing short of wonderful (no pun intended).
This project, in true Stevie Wonder style transcends many musical
borders with genres ranging from Smooth Jazz, Fusion, Rock, and
Heavy Metal. Any music fan is sure to find something to grove
to on this cd.
The
international all-star roster include artist such as Smooth Jazz
sensation U-NAM who's recent successes include the the No.1 commercial
jazz single of all 2007. Guitar extraordinaire Greg Howe who has
worked with Michael Jackson, Justin Timberlake and Enrique Iglesias
to name a few, another smooth jazz mainstay is saxophonist, Michael
Paulo who doesn't disappoint. The insane shredding of Bill Hudson
an awesome young guitarist formerly of the Power Metal Group-Cellador
hits it hard with his take on Superstition. Brasilians rock star
and guitar virtuoso Kiko Loureiro of Angra, voted No.1 Progressive
Guitar player by Burrn Magazine and Young Guitar Magazine, expert
session guitarist Miguel Mega, and Vernon himself put his efforts
to make up a fantastic musical experience for new and old fans
of Stevie Wonder. The result is a uniquely arranged CD that encompasses
a variable spectrum of musical genres. Yet, this compilation still
allows the listener to fully appreciate the essence of all that
is to be appreciated by the classics of the great Stevie Wonder.
