Vernon Neilly & Friends
A Tribute to Stevie Wonder

Yesterday I received an email from my bro U-NAM: "Here's the latest - a project I really support and love". The attachment: "I was made to love her (Another star)" played and produced by himself.

In my [interview] -in spring 2008- U-NAM told me about the Tribute to Stevie Wonder project: “I will appear soon on a Stevie Wonder tribute… and the concept is really interesting, because it’s all about guitars. There are different guitar players from various genres (Rock, Jazz, Fusion, etc. ) and I'll be the one doing the "Smooth Jazz" track and I'm producing it! That's going to be a great project, I'm really glad to be a part of it, especially knowing that Stevie Wonder is one of my favorite artists and the track I've chosen is not one of his most famous tunes, but it is an amazing "Soul Funky" song!”

It’s an awesome piece of music: “I was made to love her” is typical U-NAM: Funky, groovy, jazzy and - even though he moved over from Paris to the City of Angels – yes it’s still Frenchy. Well done, bro!

Guitar extraordinaire Greg Howe who has worked with Michael Jackson, Justin Timberlake and Enrique Iglesias to name a few, another smooth jazz mainstay is saxophonist, Michael Paulo who doesn't disappoint. The insane shredding of Bill Hudson an awesome young guitarist formerly of the Power Metal Group-Cellador hits it hard with his take on Superstition. Brasilians rock star and guitar virtuoso Kiko Loureiro of Angra, voted No.1 Progressive Guitar player by Burrn Magazine and Young Guitar Magazine, expert session guitarist Miguel Mega, and Vernon himself put his efforts to make up a fantastic musical experience for new and old fans of Stevie Wonder. The result is a uniquely arranged CD that encompasses a variable spectrum of musical genres.
