Vor einigen Jahren tourte er mit seiner Band "Little Blue" auch durch Deutschland. Die CD "Angels, Horses and Pirates" wurde im Rolling Stone Magazine mit 4,5 von 5 Punkten ausgezeichnet. Steve was co-founder and primary writer for the band Little Blue. Little Blue received stellar reviews, including 4.5 stars in Rolling Stone Magazine for their Roscoe Beck-produced CD, “Angels, Horses & Pirates.” Over the years, Little Blue toured around the country and Europe playing concerts and festivals opening for acts such as Crosby, Stills & Nash, they performed for President Clinton. Little Blue played with great artists including David Crosby, Glenn Frey, Jimmy Buffet, Nitty Gritty Dirt Band, Jennifer Warnes and many others. Steve has taught guitar, voice and songwriting at The American Institute Of Guitar, The Trinity School, The Dalton School, and privately for many years. Steve recently created "The Real School Of Rock", and has just returned from teaching a clinic in Colorado with former Bonnie Raitt and Hot Tuna bassist, Freebo.

Steve has recently relocated to Los Angeles where has opened a studio/production facility in Burbank with Steve Ferrone (illustrious drummer for Average White Band, Eric Clapton, Tom Petty) and Grammy award winning engineer/producer John Jones who has worked with Duran Duran, George Martin and Celine Dion.

Kevin Chalfant was the singer of the Band "Storm". "I've gotta learn a lot about love" hit the charts in the beginning of the 90s. "Storm" was an interstation for some musicians of Journey. Chalfant joined "Shooting Star" in January 2006 and is their new lead singer.

Will Champlin

One listen to “Sideways” or “All My Might,” two of the tracks on his upcoming release, reveals a myriad of distinct influences embedded within the funky R&B Mostly Piano-driven pop songs. Momentary shades of Stevie Wonder, Billy Joel, Bruce Hornsby, and Prince rise through the rock tunes one after another, firmly anchoring the verses and choruses to the soul roots the band returns to time and time again. While living in Nashville, Will has been spending his fair share of time on Music Row writing constantly. He has been writing with many Nashville country and pop songwriters such as Dennis Matkosky, Rivers Rutherford, Barry Dean, Brett James, Michael Caruso, Eric Bazilian and others.

Fortified by the addition of a 4 to 5-piece backup band, Will Champlin is building a name for himself with a live show of surprising maturity. Infectious melodies and funky guitar are pushed along by a powerful rock bottom end. Over it all, Champlin’s voice calls out the words with an edge expressive beyond his years. He is also playing nearly every instrument on the tracks you are hearing, as well as every bit of the production.

Impressive in delivery and big on soul, Will Champlin is keen on connecting to fans through songs about love and loss, lust and desire. Says Champlin, “Those songs seem to touch people more. Because they’re true.”

Proto-Kaw (proto=early version of) ( kaw=indian word for Kansas) has come full circle in their music careers and again are playing live concerts and recording. Proto Kaw was an experiment in renewing old relationships that has turned into one of the world's greatest new rock bands.

In the early 70's, the band Kansas went through three transformations. The sound of the band changed along with the the group members. The band the world came to know as Kansas was actually the third version of the band. Proto Kaw is the renamed, reformed second version.

Formed in 1971 and disbanding in 1973, "Kansas II" played mostly original material written by Kansas composer and guitarist Kerry Livgren. After Kansas II disbanded, the group went their separate ways with Kerry gaining notority with the famous Kansas and the others assuming normal lives working in education, sales and the media. Most did not speak with each other for 30 years and many did not play music during this span, until the resurrection of the band through this project. That is what makes this story so unique..that Proto-Kaw lives again..with two cd's "Before Became After" (2004) and "The Wait for Glory" (2006) being the albums they finally get to record

The long-standing mouthpiece for Canadian prog legends Saga steps into the limelight with his first official solo album. Michael Sadler's rich baritone voice is reminiscent of a modern-day Scott Walker or a toned-down Michael Crawford; and now, after 20 years of handling vocal duties across the world stage, Sadler is singing his own song.

Born and raised in the small, suburban town of Flemington, NJ, Aruna's penchant for music became apparent at a very young age, and as her studies continued into her teens, she began to seek out top-notch instructors such as world-renowned session musicians David Rosenthal and Anne Ruckert, who have worked with such luminaries as Billy Joel, Aretha Franklin, Sting, and Quincy Jones. These relationships ultimately led to her first professional gigs, some of which have included performances at Lincoln Center, backing Dianne Schuur at Hudson Theater, and the singing of the national anthem at Shea Stadium.
At 17, she moved to Boston to study jazz piano at Berklee College of Music. She later began part time work as a model, appearing in the feature film The Birdcage with Robin Williams, the TV movie "Pronto" with Peter Falk, and being selected to compete in the 15th annual Beauty on the Beach Miss Miami Beach Beauty Pageant. In 1996 she began relentless work honing these skills: cranking out a song a week, performing regularly at Boston's premier dueling piano bar, Jake Ivory's, and eventually landing her first European tour with TVT/EMI recording artist Spookey Ruben. She later won both of the college's annual songwriting contests, Songwriters Competition 1997 and Performer/Songwriter Showcase Competition 1998.
Since graduating Magna Cum Laude in 1999, Aruna has been a steady fixture in Boston's live music landscape, having recently been selected by Capitol Records execs to open up for the Girls Room Tour featuring Capitol recording artists Tara MacLean, Amy Correia, and Shannon McNally . Her music, which consistently charts in the top Ten of all downloads at MP3.com, has been featured in TV shows such as "Good vs. Evil" on USA Network and currently receives between 50 and 150 plays daily at retail establishments throughout the country. Aruna was recently selected as a national finalist in the 2000 Independent Music Awards in addition to receiving Honorable Mention in the NCSA 2000 Songwriting Competition.

A very nice story from Eric Carmens website: "About six months ago, we received an unsolicited e-mail from someone who said that they had purchased the contents of an abandoned storage locker in Los Angeles containing a tape with Eric Carmen's name on it. We were told that we could have it and a few days later a very large and heavy box arrived. Inside was a 2" master tape with Eric's name on it and the title: "Never Say Die."
Intoxicated with the excitement of having the multi-track master of an UNRELEASED Eric Carmen demo in our possession we decided that we could add the other instruments, including real drums to Eric's vocal and keyboards (what a concept!). A few painstaking months later we had a final mix. We played it for Eric who called it "absolutely GREAT!!!
"I recall spending the day with Desmond Child who announced as I walked in the door that he was in his Burt Bacharach mode. It was his title and he just sort of launched into the verse, which I thought was good but a bit strange for me. He was so opinionated that I was a bit intimidated at first. By the time we reached the chorus I was loosening up and we pretty much traded lines. By the time we reached the bridge I'd been pushed around enough and decided to take over, hence, the bridge was me. It was great fun hearing it again and you guys did an incredible job with it.

From 1994 until 1999 Melanie Thornton was the lead singer of the group La Bouche. La Bouche had a series of hits including the singles "Be My Lover", "Sweet Dreams" and "Falling In Love". The "Sweet Dreams" album was a major success in Europe and the group made two more, "Moment of Love" in 1998 and "SOS" in 1999. But Ms. Thornton left the group in February 2000 for an independent career. Her first solo single "Love How You Love Me" was a hit in Germany in November 2000.
November 24, 2001: Melanie Thornton died in a plane crash. This was just 2 days before her new single and album was going to be released. Her upcoming single has been chosen as the song for a new Coca-Cola TV commercial.

This collection of songs was released solely for free online distribution to fans. They were originally part of what was going to be a concept album. Some of the tunes date back to 1996. Due to several circumstances the band decided to keep them as an individual group of four songs to be distributed on our site. They were recorded in Austin, Texas and mixed in Seattle, Washington. The band released these songs in the Fall of 2000.
