Shake
Anderson
Stories from Sammy Louis |

|
Post aus Fort Worth, Texas.
Sam Shake Anderson begann seine Karriere als Bassist, Gitarrist,
Sänger und Songwriter. Er tourte und arbeitete mit Aalyah,
Earth, Wind and Fire, Aretha Franklin, den Spice Girls, Curtis
Mayfield, Ray Charles, Stevie Wonder und viele Anderen. Auch seine
Bandmitglieder teilten mit Künstler vieler Stilrichtungen
wie Shania Twain, David Foster, Branford Marsalis, Maceo Parker
die Bühne.
Shakes
70er Jahre dauerte. Otis Redding, Wilson Pickett, The Staple Singers,
Louis".

Kraftvoll
und erdig erzählt Anderson Geschichten in verschiedenen Kapiteln.
"Chapter 1: We may never get outta here" startet mit
"Set it off" ein ruhig dahintreibender Hammondsound,
"You said you
love me and you promised to be true", sie verursacht lediglich
Tränen und Schmerzen in "Don't you come 'round here
no mo".
Mit fließenden Pianofiguren und geschmackvoll eingeworfenen
Hammondlicks reduziert Anderson mit "Chapter 4: Tumblin'
down" die Geschwindigkeit. "If you build your house
of mud and stone it may last forever, but without love inside,
that house ain't a home nothing will hold it together".
In
R&B Manier groovt "Sold me down the river" auf intensivem
breitem Klangteppich.
sich "And it cuts me" im Funkysound. Gospelinspiriert
bezaubert "Only game in town". Auf tanzenden Pianoperlen
und sehnsuchtsvollem Cello fasziniert "When it comes to love".
Sam "Shake" Andersons Stil erinnert an seine musikalischen
Vorreiter wie Otis Redding und Wilson Pickett. Vom ersten Ton
