an das legendäre Stax Records Label. "Wir sind stolz

wurden von Jim Gaines produziert, der sich schon um Lewis' Millionseller

spreading the news. Huey Lewis is back. The ’80s icon behind
such hits as “Heart Of Rock & Roll,” “If This
Is It,” and “I Want A New Drug” will release his
first album of new material in nine years, Soulsville, on November
2 via W.O.W. Records.
The
new album (recorded with his longtime band The News) is a tribute
to Memphis soul, and features 14 classic tracks cherry-picked
from the legendary Stax record label. The album was produced by
Jim Gaines, who helmed the albums Fore! and Sports, and was recorded
at Ardent Studios in Memphis. Lewis, who’s been touring the
country this summer, says “We’re especially proud of
the collection. There should be a number of surprises for everyone.”

spielen auf Brian Wilsons neuer CD "Brian Wilson Reimagines

Mitglied des legendären Contemporary-Jazz-Quartett »Fourplay«
und ersetzt dort Larry Carlton.

four decades he has been internationally successful as a musician,
composer and producer. Chuck was in the 80s the musical director
of Stan Getz´s band and has performed with renown international
artists such as Jim Hall and Pat Metheny as well as with the German
drummer Wolfgang Haffner (Band Metro). After 8 solo albums his

SEVENTH KEY "Seventh Key" - das Debutalbum der
Kollaboration von KANSAS Basser Billy Greer und ex-CITY
BOY Gitarrist Mike Slamer. Die beiden Musiker spielten von
1983 bis 1986 zusammen in STREETS, die Truppe von Steve
Walsh (während seiner Pause von KANSAS).
Das Album enthält Songs der originalen KANSAS Demos
des "Power" Albums. Die Wiederveröffentlichung
kommt mit zwei Bonus Songs: The Storm Rages On und Remember
You Well.

Vielleicht gibt es keine 50th
Anniversary Tour der Beach Boys in 2011, aber auf Al Jardines
Soloalbum "A Postcard from California" hat sie bereits
stattgefunden.
1978 begann die Story von "Don't fight the sea" einem
Song den er für sein damaliges Soloalbum aufnahm. Seine Beach
Boys Bandgefahrten Carl Wilson und Bruce Johnston übernahmen
die Background vocals. Aber er war ziemlich busy mit seinen anderen
Aktivitäten sodass die Aufnahmen nie veröffentlicht
wurden. 1988 verewigte sich Brian Wilson auf dem Track, in dem
er die hohe Chorstimme übernahm. Und in 2009 folgte Sänger
Mike Love mit seiner Baritonstimme. Jetzt endlich wird "don't
fight the sea" auf "A Postcard from California"
veröffentlicht.
Das ist aber nicht das einzige
Highlight. Weitere Gäste sind Neil Young, David Crosby, Stephen
Stills, Flea, Glen Campbell, Alec Baldwin und Steve Miller. Hoffentlich
folgt dem Amazon und iTunes Angebot bald eine "reale"

Aufgewacht
(worden) nach 3 Tage Gig. Stimme etwas derangiert. "fresh!"
am Samstag und Sonntag auf der großen Konzertbühne
in Bad Krozingen : Open Air im Park. Während Set 1
saßen die vielen Hundert noch entspannt und lauschten.
Der Applaus kam wie warmer Regen. Zwei Sets weiter tanzten
alle und sangen lauthals mit. Vor allem das kollektive Mädelsgekreische
war phantastisch. Die nächsten Wochenenden folgen uns
Asia (mit John Wetton, Geoff Downes (Buggles/Yes), Carl
Palmer (Emerson, Lake and Palmer) und Steve Howe (Yes))
und Procol Harum (Gary Brooker und an der Gitarre Geoff

Ich
bin noch etwas platt vom gestrigen Gig in Neustadt im Schwarzwald.
Schöne Atmosphäre mit direktem Blick auf die Skisprungschanze.
Knapp 10 Grad kühler als bei uns am Kaiserstuhl, daher
optimal auszuhalten. Der Kurpark war heimelig hergerichtet.
Eine große Bühne auf der man sich austoben konnte.
Barracuda mischte unseren Sound und setzte uns ins rechte
Licht. Die Gäste saßen entspannt auf dem Rasen,
genossen unsere Musik und ein gekühltes Tannenzäpfle
an einem lauen Sommerabend. Um 23h mussten wir wegen Nieselregen
kurz unterbrechen. Die neuen Songs (Boys of summer - Don
Henley, Jeans on - Keith Urban, Doobie Brothers, Jackson
5 usw. kommen gut). Beendeten den Gig mit Rosanna als Reminiszenz
an Toto die knapp 50 km Luftlinie weiter östlich in
Singen auf der Bühne standen. Nächste Woche 3
Gigs mit Höhepunkt am Samstag + Sonntag beim Lichterfest
in Bad Krozingen auf der großen Konzertbühne.

Chappo

Der rote
Overall war sein Markenzeichen, aber er versinnbildlicht auch
seine Gigs, er ist ein Arbeiter des Rock'n Rolls. Mit seinem
Rockpalast Auftritt "Live in Hamburg" wurde er einem
breiten Publikum bekannt. Anscheinend pfuschen ihm derzeit
einige Plattenfirmen ins Handwerk. Da [verschenkt]
er doch lieber sein Debutalbum "Chappo" und "Live
in Hamburg" an seine Fans. Ein Muss für jeden Freund
handgemachter Rockmusik.
Roger
Chapman profitierte vom aufkeimenden Pflänzchen namens
Rockpalast in den 70er Jahren. Nach seinen Stationen Family
und Streetwalkers, veröffentlichte er "Chappo"
und war fortan ein Publikumsmagnet. Als Arbeiter ehrlicher
handgemachter Rockmusik und einem Rucksack hervorragender
Livemusiker hatte er nie einen richtigen Solohit der ihn
den Massen bekannt machte. Da zu brauchte er die Hilfe von
Mike Oldfield. Sein "Shadow on the wall" wurde
erst durch Chappos Organ zum Klassiker.
Chappo ist eine der letzten Liverocklegenden und auf Farewell
Tour. Man sollte die Chance nutzen wenn man ihn noch nie
live erlebt hat. Sein Markenzeichen den roten Overall hat
er mittlerweile abgelegt, aber mit Steve Simpson und Geoffrey
Whitehorn sind die Gitarristen seiner Heydays wieder mit
auf Tour. Wer Chappo kennenlernen will, der saugt seine
Fangeschenke oder kauft die Live CD [He
was, she was, ...] oder sein letztes Studioalbum [Hide
go seek].

Schlagzeug genießen.
Über Geschmack lässt sich nicht streiten, so mein
Tenor zur Konzertkritik vom OG Tagblatt.
"Quando" war bis dato nicht gerade meine Lieblingsnummer,
aber Michael Bublé hat ein Sahnestück daraus
gezaubert. Uns hat es Spaß gemacht. Sei's drum - die
Kritik kann sich sehen lassen.

Spalding - Chamber Music Society
Großer Auftritt für eine charismatisch Bassistin, Sängerin
und Komponistin.
Mit
25 Jahren hat sie auf der Karriereleiter bereits einige wichtige
Etappen absolviert und sich in der Jazz-Szene als Ausnahmetalent

Nachricht für alle Musikliebhaber…
Wir freuen uns, das Smooth Jazz Festival Augsburg 2010 ankündigen
zu dürfen. Nach der vielen positiven Resonanz der ersten
beiden Festivals in Bregenz 2008 und München 2009 wird
dieses Jahr vom 24. bis zum 26. September im historischen
Parktheater im Kurhaus Göggingen gefeiert.
Mit dabei sind die Smooth Jazz-Stars Rick Braun, David Benoit,
Shilts, Chuck Loeb und Joyce Cooling. Der offizielle Ticketverkauf
beginnt am 9. Juni 2010.

Curtis Stigers besingt seine
Heimat Idaho | 21/05/10
Wenn
man den Westen der USA bereist, dann lässt man Idaho meist
links liegen. Curtis "i wonder why" Stigers hat seinem
Geburtsstaat ein Lied gewidmet und beim Betrachten des Videos
wird eines klar. Idaho ist eine Reise wert!

war schon längst Zeit T-Bone Burnetts Verdienste etwas
näher zu beleuchten. Wo der Meister der Reduktion auf
das Wesentliche seine Hände im Spiel hat sind Grammys,
Academy Awards und Chartplatzierungen nicht weit.
Seit Ende April 2010 tummelt sich Willie Nelsons "Country
Music" in the Charts. Im selben Monat war T-Bones Produzentengepür
bei Jakob Dylan's "Women and Country" gefragt.
T-Bone und Jeff Bridges erhielten im Februar 2010 jeweils
einen Oscar im Kinofilm "Crazy heart"... und
man denke nur an die Kinohits "Walk the line",
"Cold mountain", "Ladykillers", "Big
Lebowsky" oder Robert Plant und Allison Krauss' letztjährige
Kollaboration.

Jackson
Browne und sein Gitarrist der "Running on empty"
Ära haben sich live zusammen gefunden, um die besten
Songs deren Schaffensperioden zu zelebrieren. Von "I'm
alive" über die Blaupause der Babyboomer Generation
"Running on empty", "Take it easy" das
er den Eagles überließ und wieder retour zum
"Running on empty" Klassiker "Stay".
2004 wurde Browne in die Rock and Roll Hall of Fame und
2007 in die Songwriter Hall of Fame aufgenommen. Die 17
Songs wurden auf ihrer Spanien Tour in Barcelona, Madrid,
Sevilla und Oveido in 2006 aufgenommen. Jackson Browne beschreibt
sie als "a CD of some recorded moments, or perhaps
a bridge, or a small door, between a life lived mostly in
America and time spent with some really good friends in
Spain."

Mit
dem Wort "Supergruppe" sollte man nicht allzu
inflationär umgehen. Dennoch - [YOSO]
setzt sich aus dem brillanten Toto Sänger Bobby Kimball
und den ehemaligen Yes Mitgliedern Tony Kaye und Billy Sherwood
zusammen. Komplettiert wird das Sextett von Gitarrist Johnny
Bruhns und Schlagzeuger Scott Conner.
Ihr erstes Album "Elements" erscheint am 2. Juli
2010 in Europa und am 27. Juli 2010 in den USA.
The
term “Super-Group” can only describe the band
arising out of two of the most creative bands of the past
30 years: [YOSO]
is formed out of TOTO’s brilliant lead vocalist Bobby
Kimball and the creative force of former YES members, Tony
Kaye and Billy Sherwood, thus equalling the magic of YES
with the voice of TOTO.
However, YOSO is much more than a combination of two classic
rock groups. The band’s debut album “Elements”
- which comes together with a bonus live CD where the band
plays some old and new classics – presents a fascinating
combination of the sound of YES ("90125"/"Big
Generator" era) and TOTO, with a very interesting and
original sound that truly encompasses the styles. “Elements”
will see the light of day on July 2nd in Europe and July
27th in the USA, where the band has already scheduled a
number of tour dates in support of the album’s release,
on Frontiers Records.
Even
though the band's heritage is from 2 classic bands, YOSO
intends to become its own identifiable entity in a very
short time, YOSO’s collective mission is to make the
next decade one where YOSO’s music will be held up
alongside their classic rock backgrounds as a band as important
as TOTO and YES. Billy Sherwood recalls: "YOSO was
started when I suggested to Bobby Kimball we should write
some new music and form a band, we had been working together
on various tribute projects I was producing and one thing
lead to another, before too long we had 5 songs in the can
and were well on our way to making a record and thinking
seriously about taking it to the next level. Once there
was a few songs underway the concept grew into the band
we now have, "YOSO". YOSO line-up was later rounded
out with two amazingly gifted musicians: Johnny Bruhns as
the guitarist and background vocalist and Scott Conner on
drums, percussion and background vocals. YOSO does indeed
have the magic of YES and the voice of TOTO. However, in
2010 the band intends to convince fans of both bands that
the brilliance of YOSO will be just as celebrated in the
years to come.

Jeff Lorber war früher ein prominenter Vertreter des
Genres Fusion Jazz. Die letzten Jahre versuchte er sich
im kommerzialisierten Umfeld von Smooth Jazz oder Contemporary
Jazz.
Mit
seinem neuen Album das am 01.06.2010 veröffentlicht
wird besinnt sich Lorber zurück zu seinen Wurzeln.
Dafür konnte er die "Who is who" der Jazz
Szene für "Now is the time" verpflichten.

By
the late 1970s, keyboardist and composer Jeff Lorber had
become a prominent figure in the new movement known as jazz
fusion – a marriage of traditional jazz with elements
of rock, R&B, funk and other electrified sounds. Lorber
and his band, the Jeff Lorber Fusion, first honed their
craft in the Portland, Oregon, club scene and rapidly expanded
their reach to a national and international audience via
a combination of complex harmonies, unconventional time
signatures and compelling rhythm
In
subsequent years, Lorber dropped the term “fusion”
from his billing as the movement evolved into what is currently
known as contemporary jazz. Still, he continued to explore
the innovative, improvisational potential of grafting other
musical forms to the jazz idiom.
More
than three decades after his earliest recordings, Lorber has
come full circle. His new recording, Now Is The Time, is set
for release on June 1, 2010. The album delves back into his
early catalog and reinvents some of the most compelling compositions
from the Jeff Lorber Fusion heyday. As a result, the artist
once again makes a bold statement in the evolution of jazz.
This new incarnation of the Jeff Lorber Fusion includes luminaries
like bassist Jimmy Haslip (who co-produced with Lorber and
Bobby Colomby), saxophonist Eric Marienthal, trumpeter Randy
Brecker, guitarist Paul Jackson Jr., and drummers Vinnie Colaiuta
and Dave Weckl.

Quiny
Jones' Biografie ist bereits 2002 erschienen. Vor wenigen
Tagen ist sie mir wieder in die Hände gefallen und
ich habe darin geschmökert. "Ignorance in the
name of art is never justified", ein Satz der besonders
hängenblieb. 77 Grammy Nominierungen, mit 14 Jahren
spielte er bereits mit Ray Charles, In den 50ern spielte
er mit Dizzy Gillespie und Lionel Hampton. Die 70er prägte
er mit Alben wie "Stuff like that" und "The
Dude". In den 80ern stieg zum erfolgreichsten Produzenten
durch Michael Jacksons Thriller und Bad auf. Seine Alben
"Back on the block" (Grammy 1990) und "Q's
Jook Joint" waren ein Sammelsurium an Stars und Genres.
Die Autobiography ist nur in English erhältlich. Eine
interessante Reise durch die Musikgeschichte.
Schon
Peter Friestedts erstes L.A. Project löste Begeisterungsstürme
aus. Seine zweite CD "L.A. Project II" ist nicht
minder furios. Die Gästeliste verzeichnet wieder etliche
Hochkaräter. Bill Champlin (Chicago), Joseph Williams
(Toto), JR Robinson (Rufus, Chaka Khan, Manhattan Transfer,

and features lead vocals performances by Bill Cantos, Michael
Ruff, Joseph Williams and Bill Champlin. Among the players
we find legendary names, such as Russell Ferrante, Jimmy
Haslip, Abraham Laboriel, Brandon Fields, Jeff Richman and
Michael Shapiro. We have updated the booklet, adding lyrics
and additional liner-notes from Bill Champlin, Bill Cantos,
Michael Ruff and Peter himself, designed an overall more
up to date look, still using the original cover picture!
We also added four bonus tracks, a live version of “Peace
Of Mind”, with Bill Cantos from 2004, a cool alternate

Ihr aktuelles Album "Inside this heart of mine"
erreichte mittlerweile Platz 1 der Jazz Charts in den USA.

Styx and the Contemporary Youth

Styx war schon immer einer meiner Favorites. Hier ein Auftritt
mit dem Jugendorchester von Cleveland. Nicht nur Styx, auch dem
Zuschauer macht es unheimlichen Spaß einen Beatlesklassiker
mit symphonischer Verstärkung und jugendlichem Enthusiamus
zu hören und vor allem zu sehen...

Dira
J. Sugandi liebte es früher, bei Incognito-Konzerten
in der ersten Reihe zu tanzen und erhielt sogar ab und zu
die Chance, auf der Bühne einen Song mitzusingen. Jean
Paul "Bluey" Maunick war beeindruckt, riet dem
damaligen Teenager aber, die High School zu beenden. Sie
blieben in Kontakt und mit knapp 30 Jahren erfüllt
sich nun Diras Wunsch. „Bluey“ kümmerte sich
um ihre erste Solo-CD „Something About The Girl“.
Wie
bei Incognito reichen die Klänge von tempogeladenen
Dance Tracks, Jazzigem über Slow Jam Funk bis hinz
zu seelenvollen Balladen. Diras Stimme verbindet mühelos
die Stile, lässt Songs und Texte atmen. Perlende Pianofiguren,
Schwingender Dreiviertel-Takt - Der Opener „Inside
Love“ erinnert an Alicia Keys, ist aber weniger kantig.
Diras Stimme hüllt ein. Cremig jazzig mit großartigem,
vielstimmigen Chorus begrüßt sie zu ihrem Debüt...
Court
Yard Hounds; Das sind Emily Robinson und Martie Maguire
Normalerweise touren sie mit Sängerin Nathalie als
Dixie Chicks durch die USA. Doch 2010 ist das Jahr der Court
Yard Hounds. Die beiden Damen sind nicht nur für den
unvergleichlichen Harmoniegesang der Dixie Chicks verantwortlich.
Ob Banjo, Fiddle, Gitarre, Dobro jetzt können sie beweisen,
dass es auch zu zweit funktioniert. "Als Natalie einen
Tourbreak einlegen wollte", sagte Maguire "bemerkte
ich diese Angst in mir. So ungefähr: Wann gehts zurück
auf die Straße? Was mache ich jetzt. Ich habe keinen
College Abschluss", lacht sie. So entschieden sie sich
dafür eine neue Band zu gründen.
Die
Dixie Chicks haben sich nicht getrennt aber die Court Yard
Hounds sind mehr als ein Projekt. "Wir gehen auf Tour
und nehmen eine CD auf - I know this isn’t just a one-time,
get-it-off-our-chests, get-these-songs-recorded-and-go-back-to-our-lives
thing.”

In 2008, following a 13-year hiatus, EXTREME returned to
the stage for its "Take Us Alive" world tour,
which encompassed 75 cities and multiple continents in support
of the band's new record, "Saudades de Rock".
This
recording captures EXTREME at the peak of its game with
a renewed enthusiasm led by Gary Cherone's spellbinding
stage performance and powerful vocals, Nuno Bettencourt's
ferocious guitar, Pat Badger's flawless bass and Kevin Figueiredo's
pounding drums and spot-on back-up vocals.
This
brilliant performance was recorded on the last night of
their tour at the House of Blues on August 8, 2009 in EXTREME's
hometown of Boston.
"We
wanted to do something really special for our hometown fans
that were there for us since the beginning… the club
days," states Nuno. "It was the last night of
the tour and we couldn't think of a better way to celebrate
than by bringing it back to where it all started… Boston."
The
concert showcases material from all five EXTREME albums
and exhibits the band's broad stylistic abilities. Features
include a blistering rendition of the Led Zeppelin-minded
"Comfortably Dumb", the scorching "Play With
Me", the funked-up "Cupid's Dead" as well
as the anthemic "Get The Funk Out". Songs like
EXTREME's #1 hit "More Than Words" and the Top
5 single "Hole Hearted" highlight the crowds enthusiasm
and loyal support their fan base has had for this beloved
foursome.
"As
much as we enjoy recording, for me, I've always loved playing
live for the fans," Cherone says. "We couldn't
wait to get out there and play for our fans."
The
DVD will contain four unreleased bonus videos from "Saudades
de Rock" — "King of the Ladies", "Interface",
"Run" and "Ghost". The clips were produced
by Nuno Bettencourt.
"This
DVD/CD is a culmination of all the years we played together
and the chemistry the four of us put out live," explains

Mitglieder
der Band Toto touren im Sommer 2010 durch Europa. Zu Ehren ihres
Bassisten Mike Porcaro der an ALS erkrankt ist, reformiert sich
Toto in der Besetzung David Paich, Steve Lukather, und Simon Phillips.
Dazu gesellt sich Steve Porcaro der in den 80ern die Band verließ
und Joseph Williams der Sänger der Toto Alben Fahrenheit
und 7th one. Mikes Part wird von Bassist Nathan East übernommen.
Former members of Toto are reforming for a brief tour this summer
in Europe to honor their brother Mike Porcaro who is living with
ALS (Lou Gehrig's disease). The line-up will include David Paich,
Steve Lukather, Steve Porcaro, Simon Phillips, Joseph Williams
and special guest, Nathan East.

to announce the signing of legendary rock band WHITESNAKE.
David
Coverdale and band are gearing up for their latest endeavour.
WHITESNAKE has already started composing new material that
promises to deliver one of the finest chapters in WHITESNAKE'S
career. “We are off to a very good start, with the
new songs taking positive shape. It feels good, fresh &
exciting,” explains Coverdale.
The
next release already feels like a solid, natural progression
to their last opus, the successful, critically acclaimed
‘Good To Be Bad’ album, awarded by the influential
Classic Rock magazine as “Best Album of the Year”
in 2008. “As always, we want to take it to the next
level,” states’ Coverdale. “I feel that with
the last album we achieved a strong WHITESNAKE ‘cocktail’
that comfortably embraced & mixed all the previous musical
aspects & styles of the band’s history, while taking
our identity a little further... all on one album..."
Born
in 1977, WHITESNAKE have been among the most influential
representatives of the their genre, having produced numerous
rock music classics such as ‘Here I Go Again’,
‘Is This Love’, ‘Still Of The Night’,
‘Fool For Your Loving’, ‘Ain’t No Love
In The Heart Of The City’ or ‘Walking In The Shadows
Of The Blues’.
Coverdale
said the production team for the new album will most likely
be the infamous Brutal Brothers, or Los Bros Brutalos, who
handled the recording of "Good To Be Bad”. “The
new songs are in the very familiar and recognizable WHITESNAKE
territory of soulful, bluesy, melodic power rock, with a
couple of ballads thrown in for good measure... It can’t
be a WHITESNAKE album without ballads, mate!”
WHITESNAKE
have conquered the love and respect of the audiences all
over the world with their driving shows and music. The new
album promises to follow in the steps of a great heritage
of solid and timeless songs.

2 Eye - Live In Madrid was filmed and recorded at the May
14, 2004 show in Playa Mayor - Madrid, Spain. The location
is a gorgeous plaza surrounded by historic buildings and
is a legacy to a very fine performance from an outstanding
group of musicians.

the Knack" - das erste Werk von The Knack gehört
in jede CD Sammlung. Nicht nur wegen des Hits "My Sharona".
Leider konnte die Band diesen Charterfolg nie mehr toppen.
The Knack waren nie ein "One Hit Wonder" sie waren vielleicht
ein "One Album Wonder", aber wie viele Bands können
das von sich behaupten? Es ist Zeit an die Platte zu erinnern,
sie vibriert in unbändiger Spiellust und ist musikalisch

may seem that Zink Music has been lazy lately, but the fact is
quite the contrary! We have stopped doing promotion, marketing
and distribution for other record companies to be able to fully
focus on the label, and we promise - 2010 will be a great year!
April
16th sees the next release, it is a much asked for re-release
of the first “LA
Project” album from Peter Friestedt, which have been
out of print for several years now. The artwork has been reworked,
still using the original picture though, lyrics are added as well
as liner notes from the likes of Bill Champlin, Bill Cantos and
from Peter himself. We have also added five bonus tracks, two
live cuts, two great alternative takes and one previously unreleased
tune.
On
May 21 we will release what is one of the biggest Swedish Westcoast
classics of all time, namely the debut album “Högt Spel”
by Licence, from 1981 and now for the first time available on
CD! Hailed as Sweden’s answer to Airplay, a marvelous piece
of music featuring Björn Ström (Fingerprints & West
Of Sunset) on vocals and Jana Persson on guitar. All songs sung
in Swedish, except for one of the two bonus tracks, the album
was remastered using the original master-tapes!

Es liegt so nahe, dass man sich wirklich fragt, warum diese
beiden Ausnahmesolisten nicht längst gemeinsam aufgetreten
sind. Anlässlich einer Session im letzten Jahr standen
beide erstmals gemeinsam auf der Bühne: JULIA NEIGEL
UND EDO ZANKI!
Das
Publikum war hingerissen. Beide beschlossen spontan, "Rock'n
Soul" Sessions 2010 gemeinsam zu realisieren. Jetzt
ist alles in trockenen Tüchern und die Doppelkonzerte
mit einer gemeinsamen Allstar Band stehen fest. Die beiden
Solisten werden neben eigenen, natürlich auch gemeinsame
Songs performen. Diese spannende Rock-Soul Fusion wird definitiv
für einige Überraschungen gut sein!
Beide
waren über Jahre engagiert in eigene Projekte und nahmen
jeweils richtungweisende Soloalben auf. JULIA NEIGEL prägte
mit ihrer 4 Oktaven-Stimme nicht nur den deutschsprachigen
Rock, auch als Songwriterin und Produzentin ist sie längst
eine feste Größe und verzeichnet große Erfolge.
"Ihre Stimme kann Feingefühl wie Ausbrüche
vermitteln, eine Sängerin die souverän, authentisch
und passioniert eine enorme vokale Stil-Palette präsentieren
kann..." skizzierte sie ein Kritiker. Derzeit nimmt Julia
nach langer Auszeit ihr neues Album für Sony Music Germany
auf - man darf gespannt sein auf ihr Comeback, auf ihre powervolle
Präsenz und ihre musikalischen Facetten.
EDO
ZANKI gilt als der "Pate der deutschen Soulmusik",
sein Stil unverwechselbar, die Performance herausragend.
Er ist einer der größten musikalischen Könner
unseres Landes. Schwarzamerikanischer Soul in dt. Sprache
und eine Stimme die mit den Jahren noch ausdrucksstärker
und reifer geworden ist, das ist Edo Zanki 2010.
Als
Produzent und Songwriter arbeitet EDO unter anderem für
Sasha, Thomas D., Ulla Meinecke, Anne Haigis, Herbert Grönemeyer,
Ina Deter, Tina Turner, Andre Heller, Xavier Naidoo, die
Söhne Mannheims u.v.a.
Beide,
JULIA und EDO klinkten sich für einige Zeit aus, um
musikalisch zu experimentieren und Neues zu entwickeln.
Unabhängig voneinander begannen beide vor etwa zwei
Jahren wieder mit öffentlichen Auftritten. JULIA gibt
neben rockigen Band-Konzerten auch bejubelte Unplugged-Auftritte,
wo sie sich als stilistisch ausgereifte und facettenreiche
Künstlerin erweist.
EDO
hatte nach Jahren als Musical Direktor und Producer bei
André Heller, endlich wieder Lust selbst vor sein
Publikum zu treten und sogar zwei Alben zu veröffentlichen.
Dutzende begeisternder Konzerte machten deutlich, dass EDO
und seine hervorragende Band die richtige Entscheidung getroffen
hatten, wieder live präsent zu sein.
